Components of Database Management System

          The main components of database management system is the Machine and Human, Human contains procedures and people where as the machine contains the software's and hardware. The data is the bridge between them.

Hardware :
         Hardware can range from 1 Pc to the network of computer's.

Sofware's :
         Software contains the OS (operating system), DBMS, application programs and network software's if necessary.

Data :
         Data is used by the organization and description of the data is called schema.

Procedures :
         Instractions and rules that should be applied to the design and use of the database and DBMS.

People :
         Will be discussed in the next section.

• Development and maintenance of standards, policies, procedures.
